Phuket has rightly been termed as a tourist’s paradise. It is truly a gem in the Andaman Sea and thus welcomes thousands of tourists each year. It is an island which is almost as big as Singapore. Most of its popular tourist destinations are beaches and surrounding islands, Phuket is a great destination for party goers and people who want to enjoy the sun to its best

1. Phang Nga Bay

Sign up a tour of Phang Nga Bay, one of the most visited tourist attractions of Phuket. A boat takes you to the James Bond Island, Koh Panyee are the two popular islands in this bay. The ride itself is so soothing that it’ll make you forget about everything. The James Bond Island is so called because of it being shown in a famous James Bond movie. Koh Panyee is a small village in the bay where the tourists are brought for lunch. Kayaking is also offered on the Phang Nga Bay tour.

2. Phi Phi Islands

Phi Phi Island is the star of Phuket. It’s been featured in so many movies. You could go a day tour to Koh Phi Phi Lei and Koh Phi Phi Don and its surrounding islands (which include snorkeling as well) or you could spend a day on the island. This island is one of those nature’s spots which haven’t been touched by human advancements which makes it even more a great attraction.

3. FantaSea

FantaSea is one of Phuket’s best shows. Performing elephants, a grand buffet, and fabulous sightseeing are only some of the main attractions of this show. It’s a complete family trip. FantaSea is a little village within itself and the whole place screams the word fabulous. You can enjoy an elephant ride or play games before the show starts. The show depicts the Thai culture through dances and performances.

4. Coral Island

If you really want to snorkel in Phuket, then take the Coral Island tour where they take you to a place on a ferry where you’ll see emerald green transparent water ideal for snorkeling. Coral Island is itself an amazing beach where you can sit and eat pineapples or enjoy coconut water under a palm tree. It’s truly like a dream come true.

5. White Water Rafting

If you’re up for some mild adventure, then take a tour of white water rafting in Phuket. A jeep takes you to a rain forest where the thrill begins on a raft through gushing waters. The tour then takes you to a waterfall in the jungle where you have walk on several steps till you reach. The last on your itinerary is the elephant ride.

6. Monkey Cave

You won’t find the attraction ‘monkey cave’ on the internet much, but from a first-hand experience, it is not a place to be missed. It is a big cave with a reclining Buddha inside it lit only be candles. The wall carvings in the cave are amazing and the monkeys outside are just as cool. You can offer them a banana or two. This cave is fantastic for photography.

Other attractions include Phuket Old town, Phuket temples, Thai Boxing, Dino Park Mini Golf etc. Phuket is a destination which should be on every travelers list!

  1. The captured photo of the monkey with its baby clinging looks nice. I never thought monkey can be peaceful-looking like that. They are known for its mischief. Do they behave like that every time? I have a friend bitten by a monkey, that’s why I’m wondering if I can go near one.
